AllCopy Compatible Toners Ltd builds printer consumables to order from a large inventory of parts. Their supplier shipments of components are often measured by the tonne.
For their backoffice intranet I have built a comprehensive bespoke stock forecasting system, running as a custom Node.js service.
The system, dubbed "Stock Caster", is a sophisticated private web application that processes dozens of CSV files from their accounts package and suppliers, and provides them with at-a-glance analyses of how their stock levels are evolving. It allows them to manage effective levels of inventory without ever overstocking or running out, even when many of their suppliers have shipping times of several months.
